Modern magnetic resonance imaging department has been successfully operating in the Ružinov hospital for several years. The basic equipment of this workplace is a device of magnetic resonance imaging - Siemens Magnetom Avanto 1.5 T Magnetom Avanto - with the output of 1.5 Tesla. It is the first system equipped with revolutionary technology by Tim (Total imaging matrix), which allows examination of the entire body without the need for patient’s movement. It displays the patient's entire body in the course of a single examination.
MAGNETOM Avanto system significantly reduces time needed by the patient to get ready for imaging, time setting of device, scanning, processing and diagnosis; it reduces manual work due to the latest technology; it allows reproducibility based on images instead of paper protocols and it also reduced the time needed for the screening of patients, so there is no need to change the position of their body.

Due to special casting for gradient coils, special suspension of magnet and AudioComfort technology, which enables to carry the MR examination at 30 db (A), we were able to reduce the sound level of MAGNETOM Avanto to 97%. Despite this fact, the system has a high level of performance. The coil of MAGNETOM Avanto is much lighter than a coil with standard diameter. Body Matrix coil weighs only 950 grams. The examination thus becomes more comfortable, especially patients who are seriously ill and have cardiac and oncology problems. Nice design of MAGNETO M Avanto and the position of the table, which is only 47 cm above the floor, make it accessible for everyone. Almost all MR procedures allow patients with claustrophobia to have their legs stretched forward.
