I passed the examination in the Prešov’ s MR Center. In this case, it was a brain examination to either confirm or exclude a brain tumor. Fortunately, this diagnosis wasn’t confirmed through MR examination. Can you imagine that relief?
Resulting from my own experience, I can say that MR examination refers to one of a few completely painless and rather comfortable examinations for a patient. Patient who has not passed such examination yet can be afraid of something unknown and maybe of the exam results. The examination proceeds as follows: After coming in the center, you will fill in a questionnaire and remove all metal objects that you could eventually wear. Then you are ordered to lay down on the bed, your head is fix-positioned so as it doesn’t move during the examination. The examination takes approx. 15 – 20 min. Around 5 min. before the exam completion, a contrast substance was introduced in the vein. A physician and a nurse is sitting in the exam room behind the glass wall and they are immediately available, if required. Immediately after the examination completing, you will receive the exam report along with CD containing the pictures. I keep my fingers to all those who area bout to pass the MR examination.
